President Pezeshkian took part in the ceremony, paying tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and joining crowds from all strata of society in the funeral and farewell procession.
The funeral procession started on Monday, with the passionate presence of mourners of the martyred Leader.
The event for the martyred Leader and his family is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 7, in the holy city of Qom, and special farewell and funeral ceremonies will follow on Wednesday, July 8, in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala.
The final procession is set for Thursday, July 9, in Mashhad, northeastern Iran, where they will be laid to rest at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH).
