Paknejad made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing the revocation of the waiver related to oil sanctions, emphasizing that the Ministry of Petroleum had long devised and maintained the necessary mechanisms to neutralize US curbs and to sustain oil exports.
He noted that the oil export process continues and remains intact as before, and no issues will arise in this regard, as Iran had not dismantled the mechanism it pursued for years, including even when the 60-day waiver went into effect.
Referring to the recent US decision, the minister underlined that the Americans reneged on their commitments and effectively violated Clause 10 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding that had explicitly mentioned the 60-day waivers.
