In a message addressed to regional countries on Saturday, General Abdollahi said the United States was “rapidly pursuing a path of widespread escalation in the regional war,” describing the approach as part of “a dangerous strategy aimed at expansion and illegitimate domination across the entire region.”
“We explicitly declare that Muslim countries must act with foresight, monitor America’s crimes, and reconsider cooperation and alignment with the United States,” he said. “Otherwise, any country that places itself as the defensive shield of the criminal and aggressor United States will burn in the fire of war.”
The message comes amid US escalations against Iran in the wake of a 40-day war that Washington and Tel Aviv waged against Iran on February 28, which disrupted the global energy market and caused inflation in countries throughout the world.
The general said the US had demonstrated during the recent war on Iran that it “refrains from no act of malice or destruction against the interests and resources of Muslims” in pursuit of its objectives.
He said Muslim countries in the region should recognize that Washington was using “their capital, wealth, vital infrastructure, and strategic resources as a defensive shield for its worn-out army,” while simultaneously strengthening “the war machine and security of the child-killing and terrorist Zionist regime.”
General Abdollahi said Iran, its Armed Forces, and the resistance front had shown that the regional balance of power had changed, adding that the United States and Israel were now seeking to wage war “from behind the defensive lines of Muslim countries” and shift the costs of conflict onto regional governments.
