Alireza Faghani, a veteran Iranian football referee, has been appointed to officiate the opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 between Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Inter Miami.
Faghani is an international referee and former footballer who has been on FIFA’s list of international referees since 2008.
