French President Emmanuel Macron has called on the United States to return to the negotiating table with Iran.
Macron urged U.S. President Donald Trump to resume diplomatic efforts regarding Iran.
“I believe we need the U.S. to bring everyone to the negotiating table,” Macron told reporters.
Macron stated that France does not want Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. However, he emphasized that the biggest mistake would be using military attacks to change a regime, as such actions only lead to chaos.
“It is our responsibility to resume negotiations immediately so that we can determine a clear path on nuclear and ballistic issues,” he added.

Iran has consistently stated that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons. Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has acknowledged that the agency has found no evidence of a systematic effort by Iran to acquire a nuclear bomb.
