Turkey’s Foreign Minister, referring to Iran’s response to the aggressions of the Zionist regime and the United States, stated that what Iran did was legitimate self-defense.

The aggressive attack by the Zionist regime, with U.S. participation, on Iran’s nuclear, military, and civilian residential areas began at dawn on June 13 and resulted in the martyrdom of several military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. In response, the successful operation by Iran’s armed forces to repel the Zionist enemy’s aggression was carried out under the name “True Promise 3.”

According to RIA Novosti, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Friday evening: “What Iran did was legitimate self-defense. Moreover, what we have witnessed is that Israel is not a powerful entity capable of destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities.”

The Turkish Foreign Minister, emphasizing that “Iran and the United States must negotiate,” said: “Iran and the U.S. may be able to reach an agreement on nuclear issues in their upcoming negotiations. We had hoped that the war in Gaza would not expand, but it did.”

Fidan, echoing claims by U.S. President Donald Trump, added: “After the U.S. attacks, it is clear that Iran’s nuclear facilities have sustained significant damage and have become unusable.”

In another part of his remarks, referring to the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, he noted: “Most European countries did not want a ceasefire regarding the situations in Gaza and Ukraine, and now they are only beginning to see that the situation has reached a level of unbearable consequences.”
