The President said that, on the other hand, the window of diplomacy is open, and we will pursue this peaceful path seriously with all our political capabilities.
“We are pro-diplomacy, pro-constructive interaction, and we are opposed to war,” said the President, noting that we will deploy all our political and diplomatic capital to defend the natural rights of our people and push back the shadow of war.
The full text of the President’s message is as follows:
The Aware, brave, and discerning nation of Iran
At a time when our country faced a great test, the people—as the true owners of this land—demonstrated that they are its beating heart. This steadfastness, support, and solidarity deserve to be seen, heard, and appreciated, and undoubtedly, it has placed greater responsibility on the shoulders of officials and has created rightful expectations.
Despite the psychological pressures and numerous hardships imposed on our nation during these events, we witnessed one of the rarest manifestations of public participation, unity, and social cohesion in the contemporary history of Iran. Iranians, both at home and abroad—critics and non-critics alike—stood united like a single body against the aggressor and imposed their will upon the enemy.
In this regard, the calmness, wisdom, and firmness of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution from the very first day of the imposed war served as another vital and empowering asset for mobilizing the nation against the aggressors and reminded us all of the unity of the Islamic system.
Today, however, marks the beginning of a new chapter—a chapter of renewed hope and a movement toward a more secure, more peaceful, and stronger Iran. This path will only be possible with the support and solidarity of our dear people, the preservation of national unity, and reliance on youthful energy and innovative ideas.
To open up new horizons, we must look to the past with a critical eye. What will lead us to a better future is the rebuilding of hope, readiness for learning and change, and creating a new path based on unity, empathy, and rationality.
Our national security is guaranteed both through military strength and through emotional bonds and social cohesion. Now is the time to open new horizons and take confident steps toward building a more prosperous Iran—bolstered by our country’s immense social capital. We have never sought war and have always strived for a meaningful role in sustainable global peace. Let the enemies of Iran know: although our nation is peace-loving, it is by no means submissive. Iran, rooted in its deep historical, cultural, and religious foundations, seeks justice and human dignity for all nations.
As you are aware, the Zionist enemy attacked us while we were engaged in negotiations with the United States—despite our distrust toward them—to resolve misunderstandings and prove the peaceful nature of our nuclear program. Following five rounds of negotiations, while preparing for a sixth, the Zionist regime, with American support, launched a cowardly attack against our country, resulting in the martyrdom of several military commanders, nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians, including women and children.
We have repeatedly declared that our doctrine is based on a peaceful nuclear program. Experience has shown that whenever Iran takes steps toward stability and peace, the Zionist regime intervenes and disrupts the process.
In accordance with all international principles, laws, and the United Nations Charter, our actions during the 12-day imposed war were legitimate self-defense against an aggressor. Despite the martyrdom of several commanders in the initial strike, under the wise leadership of the Revolution and the swift appointment of successors and reorganization of our armed forces, our military was able, in a short time, to strike devastating and crushing blows against the enemy with even greater confidence.
Nevertheless, our path ahead is clear, and the government will spare no effort in opening the doors of diplomacy and pursuing future horizons.
We remain committed to diplomacy and believe that the window for peaceful negotiation is still open. We will pursue this peaceful path with determination and the full mobilization of our political capacities. We are advocates of diplomacy and constructive engagement and oppose war. To keep the shadow of war away from the nation, we will defend the legitimate rights of the Iranian people while utilizing all our political and diplomatic resources.
The government considers the unity created among the people and officials during the 12-day war as an opportunity to serve the nation more. All executive bodies and government officials are giving special attention to this matter, and the satisfaction of the people remains the benchmark for our planning and actions. We will make every effort to ensure that no problems arise regarding the people’s livelihood and healthcare. We must join hands and strive for the pride of our nation.
Relevant ministries and all responsible agencies are continuously monitoring the market situation and coordinating efforts to ensure that essential goods are adequately supplied. With proper management and continued oversight and enforcement of regulations, we will see stability and calm in the market, God willing.
In conclusion, I pray to God for all the martyrs of this imposed war. I hope our enemies have come to truly understand our people and will never again make such grave miscalculations—for our armed forces, contrary to the enemy’s mistaken assumptions, are at the highest level of defensive readiness, and if our enemies ever again attempt to violate Iran’s sovereignty, they will face even more crushing responses.
