The Iranian Embassy in London condemns the UK’s illegal sanctions.

Iran’s embassy in London has strongly condemned the new and illegal sanctions imposed by the UK administration against Iranian institutions and personalities, describing them as contrary to the principles of international law.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London condemned the illegal and unilateral sanctions imposed by the UK government against certain Iranian institutions and personalities in a strongly worded statement.
The statement reads: “The administration of the UK, relying on unfounded pretexts and baseless accusations, has proceeded to impose sanctions on Iran—an act that is in contrast with the principles of international law in the field of friendly relations and collaboration between governments, and only harms mutual relations and intensifies distrust.”
“The Islamic Republic has always insisted on dialogue and reciprocal respect in international relations and has neither posed any threat to Britain’s domestic security, nor supported or acted in ways related to it. The claims presented in this regard are entirely rejected and are basically unacceptable,” the statement adds.
Iran’s embassy reminded that: “What really threatens peace and security in the region and across the world are the criminal acts and violations committed by the Zionist regime of Israel; a regime that has crossed all red lines by committing international crimes and constitutes the main reason for instability in the region. It is surprising that Western countries have still remained indifferent to the protests of the international community against this child-killing regime and have taken no effective measures to stop these crimes.”
The statement concluded: “The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized Iran’s adherence to the principles of mutual respect, non-interference in the domestic affairs of other countries, and constructive cooperation at bilateral, regional, and international levels. It also urges the British administration to avoid continuing adversarial policies and illegal, destructive acts.
Earlier today, the UK Foreign Minister, in continuation of the country’s non-constructive position against the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced that some business and petrochemical companies had been added to the sanctions list.
