The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced the finalization of an agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency on the country’s nuclear program.

Esmaeil Baqaei said that Iran and the IAEA have reached an agreement on new ways of interaction following illegal attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran’s peaceful nuclear sites.

Negotiations between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and the Director-General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, were held with the mediation of Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty in Cairo.

A Wall Street Journal journalist wrote earlier on his X account that Iran and the IAEA reached an agreement.

The message came after Iranian Foreign Minister traveled to Egypt to hold a trilateral talk with his counterpart and the Director-General of the IAEA.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, met with his counterpart Abdelatty and the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, today in Cairo, Egypt.

Egypt was supposed to serve as a mediator between the two parties. Following this meeting, Laurence Norman, a journalist from the WSJ, wrote on his X account:

“I understand an agreement has been reached between Iran and the IAEA.”
