“Call Me Ziba” at the International Warsaw Film Festival

It will be featured in the “Animus: Cinema and Values” section of the 41st edition of the festival, which runs from October 10 to 26.

The movie – Call Me Ziba [beautiful in English]-previously won the Best Film Award at the International Fajr Film Festival. It is a free adaptation of a novel of the same title by Farhad Hassanzadeh. The story explores the generational gap between those who lack any real image of one another—a gap that can only be bridged through dialogue, resilience, and mutual understanding.

Tehran itself is portrayed as one of the film’s main characters, offering a realistic perspective on the independent women of the new generation. The screenplay was written by Farhad Hassanzadeh.
