Paknejad said on Wednesday that daily crude production has increased by more than 120,000 barrels, while exports in recent months have even reached record levels.
“Over the past year, despite severe restrictions, we have at times achieved record sales and exports of crude oil,” he said.
He added that Iranian oil workers continue their efforts under difficult conditions. “People should know that their children in the oil industry, despite all hardships and sanctions, are actively working,” he said.
Referring to public concern about the potential impact of the re-imposition of UN sanctions on oil sales, Paknejad emphasized that Iran has already managed to bypass tough restrictions imposed under the US Ship Act.
“With the necessary measures, we effectively circumvented these sanctions and continued oil sales satisfactorily,” he said.
According to the minister, even if the “snapback mechanism” is implemented, it will not impose restrictions harsher than those already experienced.
“Our dear people should have no worries. With divine assistance, oil exports will continue smoothly,” he added.
