Iran’s Minister of Economy and Financial Affairs, attending the 2025 International Dushanbe Investment Forum in Tajikistan, said that Iran and Tajikistan are on the route of a $500 million trade tie with a focus on energy and technology.

Avash News: Seyed Ali Madanizadeh emphasized the development of cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries.

“Being present at this gathering in the beautiful city of Dushanbe is a source of honor for us, and we thank the state of Tajikistan and Emomali Rahmonov for this warm hospitality,” the minister said.

The official added that the conference, focused on green investment, serves as a bridge for the exchange of ideas and is also a gateway to a sustainable and prosperous future.

Madanizadeh said that the recent meeting between the presidents of Iran and Tajikistan was a turning point in the two countries’ ties, where the signing of 23 cooperation documents valued at half a billion dollars demonstrated a serious determination to deepen economic cooperation.

He emphasized that the joint perspective for increasing trade beyond $500 million has strengthened the basis of this cooperation with deals made in the fields of transportation, customs, mining, fisheries, and agriculture.

Madanizadeh also said that the world is on the verge of a digital evolution, and Iran, with its capabilities in AI and blockchain, is ready to transfer its experience to Tajikistan for the training of experts and the development of technology.
