The festival kicked off on Sunday at the Iran Mall Cinema Complex, with numerous cinematic and artistic personalities in attendance.
The inauguration ceremony for the photo exhibition was attended by the festival’s director, as well as Mehdi Ashna, a judge for the exhibition, and Narjes Abolghasemi, an official at the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs.
This is the second time that Iran has organized a photo exhibition alongside the TISFF.
Due to the exceptional quality of over 1,200 submitted photographs, the selection process was conducted in two phases, ultimately resulting in 60 works chosen for public display, he added.
The 42nd TISFF, directed by Behrooz Shoaibi and themed “Rationality and Intellectualism,” began on October 19, 2025, at the Iran Mall Cinema Complex, northern Tehran, and will last five days.
