Avash News: President Masoud Pezeshkian praised the personality of Master Reza Rouzbeh, a late and prominent teacher from Zanjan Province, saying that no profession is more noble than that of teaching.
In a message commemorating Master Rouzbeh at a ceremony held in Zanjan on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian described him as “a wise and virtuous son of Zanjan” who combined science with divine faith and wisdom, proving that schools can serve as centers for nurturing committed and ethical human beings.
Referring to the rich cultural and scientific heritage of Zanjan—from the historic Soltaniyeh Dome to the intellectuals and innovators of this land—the president emphasized that Zanjan Province can be a flag-bearer in advancing education and national training.

Pezeshkian underscored the fundamental role of schools and teachers in shaping the country’s future, stating that teachers and principals are the true leaders of society, transmitting human and social values to the new generations.
He also announced the establishment of the National Award of Master Reza Rouzbeh, expressing the administration’s full support for this initiative. The award aims to recognize and honor teachers and school principals who are pioneers in linking knowledge, ethics, and social responsibility.
Pezeshkian noted that the prize has been founded in collaboration with academic and seminary elites, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education and the governor of Zanjan Province.
Master Reza Rouzbeh Zanjani (1921–1973) was a physics teacher and a pioneer in introducing modern Islamic education. He was also the first principal of Alavi School in Tehran.
Master Rouzbeh trained many outstanding students and had extensive expertise in Islamic teachings, jurisprudence (fiqh), philosophy, and Arabic literature. He was fluent in Arabic and French and devoted considerable effort to studying the interpretation of the Holy Quran.
