“Based on Mr. Aoun’s comments, one would think it’s Iran that has occupied 1/5 of Lebanon, displaced 1/4 of Lebanese and bombing his country on daily basis,” Araghchi wrote on his X account on Saturday.
“Had Lebanon been bargaining chip for Iran, we’d have a deal long ago,” he added.
“Save Lebanon from your real foe, Mr. President,” he stressed.
Earlier, Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Esmaeil Qaani had reiterated support for the Lebanese resistance and said the usurping Israeli regime must retreat its forces to the point they were before the recent joint US-Israeli imposed war on Iran.
The IRGC commander also expressed confidence the Arab country would emerge victorious in the face of the Israeli aggression, saying, “The Lebanese fighters will soon see the results of their courageous resistance.”
