In a statement on the occasion of the National Army Day on Friday, the IRGC emphasized the significance of the Army’s role in defending Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, as well as during the recent war of aggression imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime.
Referring to the honorable role of the Army in defending Iran’s independence and security, the IRGC stressed that the synergy and unity between the Army and other armed forces, particularly the IRGC—as the “single hand and powerful arm of Iranians against enemies”—is among the key achievements of the “new defense architecture of the Islamic Republic,” realized under the thought and guidance of the martyred Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The statement added that the enemy’s failure to implement potential scenarios for aggression against Iran—including land and naval operations and plots to seize Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf—was the result of the Iranian Army’s high combat readiness and operational posture, alongside the coordination and overlap of the IRGC Ground Force.
It added that such coordination among the Iranian military forces sends a clear and meaningful message that any “foolish act” by the enemy would undoubtedly be met with “lethal blows” from the combatants of Islam, leaving only humiliation, strategic defeat, and disgrace to the enemies.
The IRGC further described the strengthening of the Army’s air defense capabilities in intercepting and hunting down American and Israeli projectiles and fighter jets, the execution of successful and destructive drone operations against enemy targets across the region, as well as the consolidation of an impenetrable border security belt and surveillance and offensive operations in the Sea of Oman, as manifestations of the Army’s performance during the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
The statement emphasized that Iran’s Army and the IRGC operate in unity, integration, coordination, solidarity, and with a sacred determination, adding that under the leadership and guidance of the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, the martyred leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and continuing with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, they remain in a state of battlefield silence but full readiness.
