Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani has strongly dismissed claims circulated by hostile media outlets alleging that President Masoud Pezeshkian has resigned. She characterized them as the enemy’s wishful thinking presented as fact.

The rumors, initially peddled by the Israel-affiliated Iran International network, claimed that Pezeshkian had sent a letter of resignation to the office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.

Mohajerani described such false narratives as a recurring tactic used to sow discord and instability whenever national unity strengthens. She emphasized that these foreign-backed media outlets prefer reporting their own desires over the actual reality of the country’s governance.

The president’s schedule directly contradicted these fabricated claims. She added that President Pezeshkian chaired a cabinet meeting earlier on Sunday, where he reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to serving the people and safeguarding national interests.

According to the spokesperson, the president stressed that his team would remain in the field until the very end, refusing to step back from the heavy responsibilities entrusted to them by the Iranian people.

Furthermore, the president personally attended the “Champion of Iran” sports awards ceremony on Sunday evening, honoring top athletes selected by over 10 million public votes.

Mohajerani noted that the administration remains focused on national cohesion and problem-solving, asserting that the Iranian public is well aware that the path of service cannot be derailed by such baseless provocations.
