Avash News: However, some conditions, including frozen funds and the issue of compensation, remain points of disagreement.
According to Avash News, the US, in its proposal, has agreed to end wars on all fronts, including in Lebanon, as well as to create a fund for reconstruction and development and lift the blockade. However, discussions are still ongoing to determine the amount allocated to the fund, and the gap between the two sides remains very wide in this regard.
The American side has also accepted the lifting of the naval blockade, but regarding the issue of the Strait of Hormuz, the two sides are still exchanging proposals.
On the issue of frozen funds, the disagreement focuses on the timing of their release, which both sides are still negotiating. The US has proposed the phrase “within the 30-day negotiation period,” while Iran has demanded that part of the funds be released at the beginning.
In addition to trust-building measures, disagreements over the nuclear issue still remain. However, the two sides have agreed to decide on highly enriched uranium during the 30-day negotiations.
In the early hours of today, US President Donald Trump said in a news briefing that: “We postponed an attack on Iran for 2–3 days because Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE believe they have reached a deal.”
