Avash News: An investigative report by the Washington Times claims that the city of Lamerd was targeted during the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran with the advanced American PrSM missile — a weapon designed to inflict heavy casualties without causing widespread structural destruction. According to the report, the missile detonates in the air and disperses thousands of submunitions over a wide area.
The report states that the attack on a children’s recreational center and nearby residential areas in Lamerd left at least 21 people dead and 110 injured. Citing satellite imagery, published videos, and analysis of shrapnel patterns, the newspaper rejects the Pentagon’s claim that the United States was not involved, arguing that the explosion patterns are consistent with the operational characteristics of the new weapon.
The report also refers to the deaths of children on a football field, inside a volleyball hall, and around a blood transfusion center, adding that the U.S. military is planning to quadruple the production budget for these missiles.
