Iran announces reopening of Strait of Hormuz for ‘all commercial vessels’

Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has declared that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz will be completely open for the remaining duration of the ceasefire.

“In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of the ceasefire,” Araghchi wrote in a post on his X account on Friday.

This transit must be conducted “on the coordinated routes as already announced Ports and Maritime Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Araghchi added.
