Iran participated in the four-team event featuring Croatia, Australia, the United States and Oman as part of its preparation program for the upcoming world competition.
The Iranian players registered three wins from four matches to claim the runner-up title.
Iran opened the tournament with a 2–0 win over Oman and earned another straight-sets victory against Australia.
The team lost 2–1 to Croatia in a close contest before defeating the United States 2–0 in its final match.
The 2026 Beach Handball World Championship will begin on June 23 in Croatia, where Iran will face Spain, Portugal and the United States in the group stage.
