Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia praised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to not allowing its territory to be used for illegitimate attacks on Iran, while dismissing any Iranian attack on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Alireza Enayati, Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, dismissed allegations of Iranian attacks on the US embassy in Riyadh and thanked Saudi Arabia for its commitment to not letting its soil be used for illegal strikes against Iran.
Iran has been responding to illegal strikes by the US and Israel against its national sovereignty and territorial integrity by targeting US bases and positions in the region.
Stating that it will defend itself as long as required, Iran has emphasized that its war is not with its neighboring countries and that only US interests will be targeted, as Washington has once again betrayed diplomacy despite attempts made by regional countries to resolve issues regarding Tehran–Washington relations through diplomatic means.
Enayati said that Iran emphasizes that it has not been involved in attacks on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia and that if the commander of operations in Tehran attacks anywhere, it will assume responsibility.
Enayati said that Iran praises its Saudi brothers for not allowing their airspace, waters, and territory to be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran. “We accept what Saudi Arabia says.”
In line with this, Ali Bahraini, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, in a letter to the Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament, emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never initiated a war and has always pursued the path of diplomacy.
“Now, facing another imposed war by the US and Israel, Iran will use its inherent right to defend itself legitimately based on Article 51 of the UN Charter.”
Within this framework, it has been clarified that all bases, installations, and assets of the US in the region are considered legitimate targets within the framework of the right to legitimate defense.
The letter stresses that this war is not only against Iran but also a violation of international and regional peace and security as well as the UN Charter.
