Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, following two rounds of indirect negotiations with the United States mediated by Oman, said the talks were held in a very constructive atmosphere.

Avash News: Araghchi and Iran’s negotiating team arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Thursday night to hold indirect negotiations with U.S. representatives, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Iranian top diplomat told the press that “Our views and those of the United States were conveyed to each other.
Our concerns were communicated, and the interests of the Iranian nation were presented in a very constructive atmosphere.
Overall, it was a good start, but its continuation depends on consultations in the capitals.

There is agreement on the principle of negotiations, while the time and venue will be determined after further consultations.
We are now at a stage where, after eight turbulent months, the process of dialogue can take shape again.

Today, constructive discussions were held, useful viewpoints were exchanged, and it was agreed that the talks would continue.
In my view, it was a good beginning, and its continuation will depend on decision-making in Tehran.

This marks a new start for the negotiations, and there is a high level of distrust in this phase, which poses a challenge to the talks.
If this process continues between the two sides, we can arrive at a clearer framework for negotiations in future sessions.”
