Exchanging greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, both presidents described the feast as a symbol of unity and solidarity for the Islamic Ummah.
President Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for Tajikistan’s sincere sympathy following the martyrdom of senior Iranian officials, noting that such gestures reflect the deep-rooted, historical bonds between the two nations.
He emphasized that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to elevate bilateral relations to new heights, particularly in key sectors such as energy, transportation, and trade infrastructure.
For his part, President Rahmon condemned recent military aggression against Iran, labeling such acts as a direct violation of international law. He reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support for Iran’s sovereign positions and described the current trajectory of regional negotiations as hopeful for the future of peace and stability in the Persian Gulf.
The Tajik president further expressed his deep regret over the destruction of cultural and historical landmarks in Iran, stressing the importance of preserving the region’s shared heritage.
