Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi warned that some neighboring countries have cooperated with the U.S. and Israel in military actions against Iran, emphasizing that they must distance themselves from the U.S. and refrain from participating in attacks on the Iranian people. He described the aggression as completely illegal, unjustified, and without legitimacy.

Avash News: Araghchi said that while Iran did not expect neighboring territories to be used against it, U.S. bases in the region were in fact utilized for operations targeting Iran, despite assurances to the contrary. Support and access were provided to U.S. forces both inside and outside these bases, which even local authorities have partially acknowledged.

He highlighted the incident in Kuwait, where three U.S. F-15 fighters were shot down, questioning why these aircraft were over Kuwaiti airspace if not heading toward Iran. Araghchi stressed that the warning to the region was clear: neighboring countries must not allow their soil, airspace, or waters to be used against Iran. If they comply, Iran will refrain from any action against them.

Araghchi also criticized regional states, particularly those in the Persian Gulf, for failing to condemn the attacks, calling their silence “surprisingly unusual.” He reaffirmed that Iran’s military actions target U.S. bases, facilities, and troop concentrations, not neighboring countries, although any party cooperating in attacks on Iranian civilians will be considered a legitimate target.

He emphasized that Iran has no hostility toward neighboring nations, viewing their populations as brothers and sisters, and that the real adversaries are the U.S. and Israel, who have launched attacks against Iranian civilians and infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, historical sites, and residential areas.
