Avash News: Abbas Araghchi, who is on an official visit to Islamabad, was welcomed upon arrival by Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister; Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan; and Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s interior minister.
Araghchi is scheduled to meet senior Pakistani officials to discuss bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan, regional and international developments, and efforts to restore peace and end the imposed war against Iran.
According to Al Arabiya, talks aimed at reducing tensions and resolving the Strait of Hormuz crisis will be held between Iran and Pakistan.
Al Arabiya also reported that Steve Witkoff, the Middle East envoy of Donald Trump, will be briefed on the details of Araghchi’s meetings with Pakistani officials before traveling to Pakistan.
Pakistan’s prime minister has also left Lahore for Islamabad to meet Araghchi.
