Avash News: Seyed Ali Saqaeiyan said Donald Trump and his team are seeking an outcome in the negotiations.
In his analysis of the second round of Iran–US negotiations, Saqaeiyan said that Iranian diplomats’ experience in dealing with the American side is a valuable asset.
“Since the beginning of the nuclear negotiations and the sanctions that followed, we have had more than 400 rounds of talks with the Americans. The most important negotiations took place during President Rouhani’s administration, which resulted in the JCPOA,” he said.
He reminded that despite the US’s breaches of commitments, indirect talks with the American side began at the start of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2025). However, Trump violated the negotiations and attacked Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He emphasized that Iran prefers negotiations over war, but, as officials have also announced, Iran’s military and security forces are ready for war.
