Avash News: The Presidents of Iran and Turkey, while exchanging views on current regional issues, stressed the need for diplomatic, engagement-oriented, and dialogue-based approaches to address and resolve problems, and called for refraining from any provocative, tension-inducing, or war-inciting actions in the region.

Masoud Pezeshkian, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held a detailed telephone conversation on Saturday morning, during which they thoroughly discussed the latest regional developments.

During the call, the Presidents of Iran and Turkey reiterated the importance of adopting diplomatic, engagement-focused, and dialogue-based solutions for addressing issues and emphasized the need to avoid any provocative, tension-raising, or war-inciting actions in the region.

In the conversation, President Pezeshkian highlighted the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in pursuing a “dignified diplomacy,” grounded in the framework of international laws and regulations, stating that Iran’s approach is based on dialogue, mutual respect, the rejection of threats and force, and a win-win logic.

The President noted that establishing effective diplomatic and dialogue-based processes requires creating a climate of mutual trust. He emphasized that the prerequisite for the success of any diplomatic initiative is the demonstration of good faith by the parties involved and the cessation of war-inciting and threatening actions in the region.

The two Presidents also underscored the importance of regional cooperation, the constructive role of regional countries in maintaining lasting stability and security, and the necessity of strengthening dialogue mechanisms to reduce tensions and prevent the escalation of crises.
