Iran’s SNSC Secretary Meets Sultan of Oman

Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council met and held talks with the Sultan of Oman on Tuesday.

Avash News: Ali Larijani, who traveled to Muscat on Tuesday at the head of a delegation, met with His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq. Their meeting lasted three hours.

Larijani’s visit to Muscat comes as part of Iran’s ongoing regional consultations.

He also met with Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr al-Busaidi.

 


Last Friday, an Iranian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi was in Muscat to hold indirect negotiations with a U.S. delegation on Iran’s nuclear program.

According to Omani local media, during the audience, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in the Iranian-American negotiations and discussed ways to reach a balanced and fair agreement that serves the interests of both parties. The discussions also underscored the importance of returning to the dialogue and negotiation table as a means to bridge differences and resolve disputes through peaceful means, in support of regional and international peace and security.
