Avash News: According to Dr. Mehdi Pirsalehi, the deputy health minister and head of Iran’s Food and Drug Organization, Toufigh Daru—an important factory involved in producing hospital medicines—was directly struck by Israeli missiles.

“The factory was hit directly by several missiles,” said Pirsalehi, adding that the medicines produced there are used in hospitals, particularly in operating rooms.

“The missiles that hit the factory have destroyed the production, research, and development units,” the official added.

Since the outbreak of war on February 28, 24 active units in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and the distribution chain have suffered serious damage; however, the production and supply of vital items continue.
