In the past 33 days, the official said, aggressors have deliberately targeted over 600 schools and educational centers, including the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab and the Lamerd Sports Hall.
The term “war crime” falls far short of adequately describing these atrocities, he noted.
Given the explicit rhetoric of hostility toward Iranians (as a nation) expressed by US/ Israeli officials, these crimes amount to genocide, Baqaei underlined.
The US and Israel launched their war of aggression on Iran on February 28, while Tehran and Washington were in the midst of negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. The US-Israeli strikes, now in their fifth week, have hit Iran’s nuclear and civilian sites along with infrastructure. President Trump, at the same time, is threatening Iran with further military attacks and is mulling over a ground invasion.
