Officials from 100 countries to attend Ayatollah Khamenei’s funeral ceremony

Representatives from 100 countries, including heads of state, parliamentary leaders, foreign ministers, and special government envoys, will attend the farewell funeral procession for Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced.

“The tribute and farewell ceremony will begin at 8:00 AM on Friday, July 3, with the participation of dignitaries and public groups. High ranking officials from different countries and political figures will attend the ceremony in the afternoon same day,” Esmaeil Baqaei said on Thursday.

“The farewell and funeral ceremony for Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is considered a historic and highly significant event, not only for the Iranian nation but also for the people of the region, Muslims, and all free nations worldwide,” the spokesperson further added

Also a farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Khamenei is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, at the Imam Khomeini Musalla in Tehran.

The funeral procession will take place in the capital on Monday, July 6. A procession will follow in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, July 7, and a final procession will be held in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday, July 9.

Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest at the sacred shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.

Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred on Saturday, February 28, in a deliberate terrorist attack carried out by the US and Israeli regime enemies.
