Pezeshkian: Shared Interests of Tehran and Islamabad Increasingly Intertwined

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a message congratulating Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of its independence, said the shared interests and common destiny of the Iranian and Pakistani peoples have become increasingly intertwined, underscoring the need for greater synergy and closer cooperation between the two countries.

AVASH NEWS: In his congratulatory message to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s independence, Pezeshkian described the occasion as a valuable opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the great Pakistani nation and a new milestone in deepening and expanding the longstanding and strategic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Iranian president said the deep historical, cultural, civilizational and people-to-people ties between the two nations undoubtedly constitute a valuable asset for charting a brighter future for bilateral relations.

Emphasizing that the shared interests and common destiny of the two nations are increasingly intertwined, Pezeshkian said this reality makes greater synergy and closer cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad all the more necessary.

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains determined to further strengthen comprehensive relations with Pakistan and is ready, based on mutual trust and respect and by leveraging the two countries’ broad existing capacities, to take more effective steps toward consolidating bilateral ties and advancing the shared interests of the two nations.

In his congratulatory message, Pezeshkian also prayed to God for the continued dignity, progress, prosperity and well-being of Pakistan and for further strength and flourishing of the longstanding and fraternal relations between the two countries.
