Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran's Parliament, said in a meeting with Khalil Hamdan, a senior official of Lebanon's Amal Movement, that "avenging the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution means freeing all Muslims from the oppression of the United States and the Israeli regime."

Avash News: Hamdan met with Qalibaf on behalf of Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament. He was accompanied by a delegation from the Amal Movement, including several Lebanese lawmakers, who traveled to Iran to attend the farewell ceremony for the late leader.
Qalibaf thanked Berri for his message and said he had traveled to Beirut twice during the Lebanon war. He added that the late leader had always emphasized Berri’s position and role among Lebanon’s Shiite community and believed that any decision made by him with the consensus of the Shiite community and in the interest of Lebanon would be supported by Iran.

Referring to what he described as the great loss caused by the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Qalibaf said that the best way to avenge such a leader was to free all Muslims from “the oppression of the United States and the Israeli regime.”
Qalibaf also said he had spoken with Berri three times during the Ramadan War. He added that one of the main concerns of the Resistance Front during talks with the United States was Lebanon, and that Iran had insisted on including provisions related to Lebanon in the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding.
He said implementing those provisions would strengthen Lebanon and called on all Lebanese groups to work toward their implementation, saying this would help prevent instability in the country.

Qalibaf said one of the most important lessons from the late leader’s legacy was the need to preserve unity within the Muslim community, especially among Shiites.

During the meeting, Hamdan delivered a written message from Berri to Qalibaf. He offered condolences over the death of Ayatollah Khamenei and said the delegation had come to Iran to attend the tribute ceremony for the late leader. He added that it was important to highlight the late leader’s personal qualities so that future generations would remember them.

Hamdan said the Amal Movement was founded in 1974 through the efforts of Imam Musa al-Sadr and Mostafa Chamran. He said Chamran trained Iranian revolutionaries at that time, while Imam Musa al-Sadr discussed the Islamic Revolution in an interview with the French newspaper Le Monde shortly before his trip to Libya. According to Hamdan, this was one of the earliest introductions of the Islamic Revolution in Europe.
He also said that a number of Amal Movement members were killed alongside Chamran in Dehlavieh.
