Speaking during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Saturday, Lavrov said the strikes run against international regulations.
He condemned the aggression and warned against its dire repercussions for the stability and security in the region and the entire world.
The Russian foreign minister said that his country is ready to find a peaceful settlement to the dispute through its efforts in the international bodies, including the UN Security Council.
Araghchi, for his part, updated Lavrov on Iran’s countermeasures against attacks carried out by the United States and Israel which once again targeted Iran in the midst of negotiations.
