Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says millions of Iranians had gathered in unity to honor the country’s martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, declaring that neither the Iranian people nor the Armed Forces would be intimidated by threats.

In a post on X on Tuesday after attending the martyred Leader’s funeral ceremony, Araghchi wrote, “Millions of proud Iranians rallied in unity to honor Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and his legacy. Neither them nor our Brave Armed Forces are moved by any threats.”

Referring to Paragraph 13 of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States to end the recent war, Araghchi also said, “Para 13 of the MoU is clear: Negotiations on final Deal will not commence if threats continue. Honor your signature.”

Iran and the US concluded a Pakistan-mediated MoU following negotiations aimed at establishing a framework for continued diplomacy. The two sides electronically signed the MoU on June 17, 2026, to extend their ceasefire.
