Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla will welcome the Iranian people to bid farewell to the martyred Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, says the head of the Islamic Development Coordination Council of Tehran Province.

Mohsen Mahmoodi confirmed that the public bid farewell to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution as of 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

The mourning rituals are scheduled to continue for three consecutive nights. Iranian officials have called upon citizens from all walks of life to attend in massive numbers.

According to Mahmoudi, the brave and loyal Iranian people mourn the martyrdom of the Leader. Their profound love was visibly expressed in epic gatherings across Iran over the past few nights.

He also described the event as a heroic display of national unity and loyalty to the Islamic Revolution’s ideals, particularly in the face of external enemies.

Joint US-Israeli military aggression began on February 28, 2026, following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, despite ongoing indirect US-Iran talks. Analysts see this as proof of the US preference for military force over diplomacy. In response, Iran executed targeted, proportionate self-defense strikes against Israeli positions and US regional bases, warning that further aggression will face a harsher response.
