According to the Persian edition of ISNA, Mohajerani told Al Mayadeen: Iran’s deterrence and defense capabilities have not only remained intact but have been reinforced by a strengthened national will to preserve independence, security, and sovereignty more than ever before.
Mohajerani added: The Zionist regime made a strategic miscalculation and paid the price for it. Israel’s claims about destroying our defense capabilities were primarily for their domestic audience.
She continued: The defense forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are a deep and multi-layered structure based on national and domestic capabilities. What happened on the battlefield demonstrated that Iran possesses a high level of readiness and the ability to respond both symmetrically and asymmetrically.
The government spokesperson further emphasized: Our response to Israel was decisive, legitimate, and deterrent. The Islamic Republic’s nuclear program will continue on its path within the framework of peaceful objectives.
Mohajerani stated: From now on, our relationship and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will take a new form. The double standards of some Western countries and their silence in the face of Israel’s aggression have severely damaged the credibility of their claims regarding human rights and international law.
In the continuation of the interview, the spokesperson noted: The silence or implicit support of some powers makes them complicit in war crimes. The Islamic Republic, relying on its national capabilities, is fully prepared for any scenario or potential threat.
Mohajerani also stressed: Iran did not start the war and will not back down from legitimate defense. Our national security is a red line, and any threat will be met with a decisive response.
She further told Al Mayadeen: Iran’s message is one of peace, regional cooperation, and opposition to unilateralism and occupation. We call on all countries to strengthen diplomacy, mutual respect, and cooperation within the framework of shared interests.
Mohajerani concluded: The recent imposed war demonstrated that adventurist policies and absolute reliance on militarism do not bring security but instead increase instability. Iran stands alongside the region’s nations to establish a just and sustainable peace based on human dignity.
