China has increased import of crude oil from Iran in June, with independent Chinese refineries buying Iran’s oil more than ever.

According to ISNA Persian section and the data of oil tanker tracking companies, amidst high overall imports in recent weeks that were committed under lower oil prices in the months of April and May, China significantly increased the import of crude oil from Iran in the current month.

According to the data released by Vortexa company, imported oil from Iran to China increased to the record of 1.8 million barrels per day between June 1 and 20. The data by Kpler showed that imported oil from Iran to China was 1.46 million barrels per day on average from June 1 to 27, which is nearly 500,000 barrels a day more than China’s estimated imports from Iran in May.

Higher export of Iran’s oil to China is caused by higher loading of Iran’s crude oil in May and more purchase by independent Chinese power plants called “Teapot,” which bought Iran’s cheaper crude oil to fill their reservoirs at the peak of summer demand.

Iran’s oil export in the first week of the Zionist regime’s military attack on Iran increased by 44 percent, and analysts expect that China’s import of Iran’s oil will remain at high levels in the coming weeks.

According to Oil Price, after the act of aggression by the U.S. in attacking Iran’s nuclear sites, Donald Trump, the president of the U.S., wrote on his Truth Social media, “China now can buy oil from Iran. We hope it buys lots of oil from the U.S. too.”
