The meeting between Iran and the three European countries on Iran’s nuclear program will be held on Friday in Istanbul, Turkey.

Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, addressing a press conference on Monday, said that Iran and the three European countries — namely Germany, France, and the UK — will meet in Istanbul on Friday to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.

The meeting will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union.

Baghaei said that the trilateral meeting among Tehran, China, and Russia will be held at the level of general directors on Tuesday in Tehran, during which Iran’s nuclear program and the snapback mechanism will be discussed.

“Diplomacy is a tool to actualize the rights of nations, and whenever we conclude that it will help to actualize the rights of our nation, we will not hesitate to use it.”

Reacting to Donald Trump’s claim about the full destruction of Iran’s three nuclear sites, the spokesperson said, “The American official’s remarks about inflicting damage on Iran’s peaceful nuclear sites are a testimony that they have admitted to committing an illegal and criminal act against Iran. These are documents we will use to show the illegal nature of the U.S.’s measures.”

Reacting to the trip of the advisor of the Leader of Islamic Revolution to Russia, Baghaei said that as the President’s special envoy, Ali Larijani carried the Islamic Republic of Iran’s broad message and views on regional developments, international issues, and bilateral relations.

“He had a constructive meeting with the Russian President, and during the meeting, a wide range of issues were discussed, especially bilateral relations and recent developments in the region over the past 3 to 4 weeks,” Baghaei added.

Sending a special envoy to other countries is a completely normal thing in diplomatic relations, which is done considering the importance of issues and developments, he underlined.

During the weekly briefing of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the last surviving member of the family of martyr Mohammad-Reza Sediqi-Saber — one of Iran’s scientists killed in an Israeli attack — shared his tragic story of how he collected the bodies of his family members all on the same day.
He said: “My brother was a scientific activist in the field of mechanics, and my nephew — his son — was a gifted student in mathematics. I lost my entire family in just one day.”
He continued: “The Zionist regime cruelly attacked my brother’s home — once in Tehran and again in Astaneh Ashrafiyeh, in northern Iran. Today, my family home has been reduced to rubble.”
Sediqi-Saber concluded: “The goal of the Zionist regime is not just Iranian scientists, but the people of Iran.”

Alireza Sediqi-Saber lost 12 members of his family in Israel’s brutal attack on their parental house in Astaneh Ashrafiyeh. Israel launched an unprovoked military attack on Iran on June 13 and killed 16 Iranian scientists in targeted strikes. The international community has remained silent in the face of Israel’s brutality, though a number of countries have condemned Israel’s act of aggression and expressed sympathy with the surviving families.
