Iran, trioka negotiation wrap up, talks will continue in coming days

Troika political deputies and Deputy High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs were present at the meeting.

The negotiation between Iran and Troika (E3) have concluded in Geneva.

Troika political deputies and Deputy High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs were present at the meeting.

The main focus of talks was the threat of activation of “Snapback” mechanism by Europeans, and also the possibility of extension of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 2231.

Gharib-Abadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister  clarified about the meeting

 

“Dr. Thakht-Ravanchi and I held a meeting with troika political deputies in Geneva”, Gharib-Abadi, Deputy Foreign Minister said on his X account.

“Iran is committed to diplomacy and a valuable diplomatic solution that benefits both parties” he added.

“It is time for Troika and UNSC to make the right choice and give diplomacy time and space” he concluded.

Iran to continue talks with Europeans 

Iran’s foreign minister Spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, in an interview with Iranian National Television said that “in today’s talks with troika and High Representative of European Union, it has been said clearly to other side about Iran’s demand about lifting sanctions and nuclear rights”.

“We explained to Europeans that they do not have the right to initiate ‘Snapback’ mechanism, and if they do so, there will be consequences” he added.

“It has been set that the talks would continue in the coming days” Baghaei concluded.
