Speaking at the Orbeli Forum 2025 in Yerevan, Mirzoyan emphasized the strategic importance of Armenia’s ties with Iran.
He stated that while Yerevan is seeking to enhance its relationships with the European Union, Britain, and Russia, its relations with Iran and Georgia remain strong, highlighting active economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic.
Mirzoyan underscored Armenia’s goal of diversifying and balancing its relations with various countries.
Furthermore, he noted the significance of the Orbeli Forum, considering it a step towards achieving public diplomacy. The forum, which began on Tuesday, has gathered over 350 scholars from 16 countries to discuss peace and multilateral cooperation in the South Caucasus region. It is set to conclude on Wednesday.
The Orbeli Institute, affiliated with the Armenian Prime Minister’s office, has been engaged in research and analysis across various scientific fields since its establishment in 2018.
