Araghchi: Historic Opportunity for Nuclear Deal If Diplomacy Prevails

Araghchi said in a post on X on Tuesday that Iran will resume talks with the United States in Geneva, based on the understandings reached in the previous round of negotiations.

Avash News: He noted that Iran is joining the talks with the aim of reaching a fair and balanced agreement as soon as possible. Araghchi underlined that Iran’s positions are clear, reiterating that Tehran will never seek to develop nuclear weapons.

He also said that Iranians will never give up their right to benefit from peaceful nuclear technology for their people.

Calling the current situation a historic opportunity, Araghchi said an unprecedented agreement could be achieved that would address mutual concerns and protect shared interests. He added that an agreement is possible if diplomacy is prioritized.

The foreign minister also stressed that Iran has shown it will firmly defend its sovereignty, and said the same determination will guide Iran at the negotiating table in order to reach a peaceful settlement of differences.
