Addressing a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Pezeshkian described the upcoming event as significant and historic, appreciating the organizations and committees overseeing the funeral arrangements in the capital Tehran, as well as the holy cities of Qom and Mashhad.
He noted that the Leader’s esteemed family has invited officials from executive bodies, various institutions, and organizations, as well as the noble people of Iran, to attend the ceremonies and bid farewell to the martyrs.
Pezeshkian outlined a number of issues during the session, including the outcome of his recent meetings with top scholars and sources of jurisprudence in the holy city of Qom and their positive assessment of the government functioning.
Stating that prominent Iranian clerics supported and appreciated the government’s actions in the current critical situation of the country, the President emphasized the continuation of his administration’s livelihood programs, utilizing the domestic capacity and national unity.
He also thanked these dignitaries for offering valuable tips, recommendations, and perspectives in various fields, adding that one of the important concerns raised by them was dedicated to people’s livelihood and the necessity of supporting different segments of society.
Referring to recent understandings and agreements, in the economic and trade fields, Pezeshkian said that the religious authorities and prominent professors at the Qom seminary expressed their satisfaction with the process that has taken place and considered it a positive step towards securing national interests.
Appreciating the efforts of different ministries, the President said the government was ready to listen to all experts and academics of relevant fields and use their specialized and advisory opinions at any time to improve the decision-making process and solve the country’s problems.
During the meeting, Pezeshkian also hailed national sporting teams for bringing glory to the Iranian flag and the Islamic Republic, emphasizing that the Iranian nation, relying on internal unity and cohesion and strengthening convergence among Islamic countries, will continue the path of dignity, independence and progress.
