Araghchi arrived in the Chinese capital on Tuesday for talks focused on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
The visit comes amid a series of diplomatic engagements by Iran’s top diplomat with counterparts around the world. In recent days, Araghchi has held phone conversations with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Qatar, France and Italy to discuss key bilateral, regional and global issues.
Last week, the Iranian foreign minister also traveled to Pakistan, Oman and Russia, where he met senior officials and outlined Tehran’s positions and decisions regarding the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime against the country.
