President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the massive funeral for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as an impressive demonstration of national unity.

During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Pezeshkian praised the grand and unprecedented funeral ceremony for the martyred leader, calling it a remarkable display of national unity and solidarity that astonished the world.

He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming presence of the nation, which he described as “enemy-crushing,” and commended the exceptional management of the officials involved.

The president underscored that this solidarity, under the leadership of Iran’s current leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, will safeguard the country against threats from adversaries.

Pezeshkian also extended his thanks to the people and officials of Iraq, Pakistan, and other countries for their sympathy and participation in the farewell ceremony.

After farewell and funeral ceremonies in Tehran and Qom, as well as similar events in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, the body of Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest beside the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the Iranian holy city of Mashhad on Thursday.

Ayatollah Khamenei was assassinated in a terrorist US–Israeli airstrike on February 28, when the two regimes launched their second war of aggression against Iran that lasted 40 days. Iran has vowed to take revenge for the criminal act.
