Iran’s population estimated to grow to over 88m over the next 2 years

Iran’s Statistical Center has put Iran’s population at 87 million, predicting that over the next two years, the country’s population will reach more than 88 million.

AVASH NEWS: According to the center, Iran’s population has been growing since 2018 and will reach more than 88 million people (88,190,000) within the next two years, representing an increase of about 7 million people compared with 81,053,000 in 2018.
The predictions show that the population increase will predominantly occur in urban areas, with the urban population increasing from the current 60,304,000 to 68,000,994 within the next two years.
The estimates also indicate that throughout the period, the male population will slightly outnumber the female population.
