Eisa Omidvar, a pioneer of tourism in contemporary Iran and an explorer who discovered unknown lands across several continents, passed away at the age of 97 due to complications from an illness.

Avash News: Eisa Omidvar, who had been hospitalized due to age-related health issues, died on Saturday.
Eisa and Abdollah Omidvar were among the pioneers of tourism in Iran, exploring uncharted lands in the Americas, Africa, and both the North and South Poles.
The extraordinary journey of these adventurous brothers began in 1333 (1954-1955 in the Gregorian calendar). Their first expedition lasted seven years. They traveled on a British “Matchless” motorcycle powered by a 500 cc engine, which bore the inscription “All Different, All Relative” on its front fender.

Following this, they embarked on a three-year journey in a two-cylinder Citroën automobile, a gift from the French Citroën Company in recognition of their first expedition.

After this decade of daring exploration across Africa, the South Pole, Asia, the North Pole, Europe, the Americas, and Australia, Abdollah Omidvar settled in Chile to study cinema. He became recognized as one of the prominent figures in Chilean cinema. Abdollah passed away in 1401 (2022-2023) at the age of 89 in Chile. Meanwhile, Eisa Omidvar returned to Iran after their travels.
The rich legacy of these two brothers is preserved in the Omidvar Brothers Museum at Saad Abad Palace. The museum suffered damage during attacks by the US and Israel during the 40-day war.
