The 26th Baghdad International Book Fair opened on Sept. 10 in the presence of Iraq’s prime minister, Mohammad al-Sudani.
Representing Iran’s publication industry, the House of Books and Literature of Iran participated in the event, showcasing 1,000 titles of books in Arabic. About 200 books on display in Iran’s pavilion are allocated to children.
On the occasion of the anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, a special desk, with about 100 titles of books about the Prophet, has been reserved. Another special desk in Iran’s pavilion has been allocated to the Quran. Books on ethics, resistance, and religious views are among other subjects on display at the event.
An Iranian calligrapher, Majid Rastegar, accompanies the Iranian team at the exhibition with the aim of attracting the Iraqi audience with this Iranian art.
